IBM Connections 3.0.1 Mobile Now Working

To make the iPad/iPhone/Android mobile client work for Connections, there's more required than just checkmarking the Mobile app when installing IBM Connections Applications.
When something doesn't work, the first thing we all do is head to IBM Fix Central to see if there are any updates. Sure enough, there are about 9 listed for IBM Connections 126.96.36.199 and two of them have the word "Mobile" in there title.
A refresh pack: 188.8.131.52-LC-Multi-MOBILE-CRLO63049
and an interim fix: 184.108.40.206-IC-Multi-Mobile-IFLO64399.
The Abstract on IFLO64399 states "October 2011 mobile update. This update is cumulative and includes changes from previous mobile updates. Please use the latest Update Installer for IBM Connections published to Fix Central to apply this fix." To me this means it contains all previous updates and this is the only fix I need to apply.
Well not so.
After some discussion with a friend at IBM. The following steps are what fixed IBM Connections 3.0.1 Mobile for me.
On more thing, if you have forced all communications over SSL for your IBM Connections environment, you need to change
in LotusConnections-config.xml file.
